As one of the leading international textile fairs, MUNICH FABRIC START presents twice a year a carefully selected portfolio of basic to haute couture fabrics, complemented by trims and accessories for all segments of the fashion and apparel industry. Launched in 1996 with around 80 exhibitors, MUNICH FABRIC START has since recorded a continuous growth, with over 1,000 internationally renowned suppliers of fabrics, trimmings and accessories from 38 countries showing more than 1,800 collections in Munich today. The trade fair provides the textile and fashion industry with an international platform for information and inspiration, showcasing all the components fashion professionals need to shape their new collections.
The event is an unprecedented success story whose beginnings go back to the obvious idea of establishing an independent fabric trade fair for the German textile industry in the heart of Europe. Since then, the MUNICH FABRIC START has developed from an insider tip to a fixed date in the calendar for renowned brands of the European fashion and textile industry—counting over 20,000 trade visitors at the last event.
The two trade fair editions are staged each year according to the success formula: Format—Timing—Location, that is, to convince the industry of its merits with the right trade show format, at the right time, at the right location. The MOC with its flexible space concept has always provided the ideal setting: the contemporary, modular architecture and the showroom concept allow the MUNICH FABRIC START organizers to present and re-stage their event in ever new ways. A success story that will be carried forward, not least thanks to the significant contribution of the MOC as the ideal location.

Oracle hosted the "Oracle Modern Business Experience" in our hall[s] and atrium with adjacent showrooms. For two days, this event hosted five conferences under one roof. Renowned industry experts and innovators, masterminds and executives presented and discussed the latest trends and best practices in digitization. Oracle executives, clients and partners held lectures on digital transformation. Lectures by prominent science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar and blogger Sascha Lobo rounded off the event. "Right from the start, we found a capable partner in the MOC for our trade show, which was first held in 2006. The premises are ideal for our event, always growing with it to meet space requirements. The immediate proximity of workshop rooms and exhibition halls is particularly important to us. The MOC team has always been and continues to be our expert and supportive partner.” Hans Reitmeier, Managing Director, organizer of Research & Results.
Research & Results is the world's largest trade fair for market research and related services. About 200 exhibitors and more than 3,000 participants gather in Munich every year at this “must-attend” event.
With around 100 exhibitors and a record program with 125 free lectures and discussion panels, the MOC was the meeting point for investors and others interested in topics around money and investing for the eighth time. Over 5,300 visitors registered for admission to the exhibition space and 18 lecture rooms. The modular concept of showrooms at the MOC Veranstaltungscenter perfectly meets the continuously growing space requirements of the Stock Exchange Day Munich, providing spaces of different sizes as the appropriate setting for every lecture topic and every other possible purpose. Depending on demand, additional rooms can also be booked at short notice. Even after five record years in a row, nothing stands in the way of further growth.
