MUNICH FABRIC START 2016

MUNICH FABRIC START is the first of the international leading trade fairs for fabrics and additionals. Twice a year, suppliers from all over the world meet in Munich for the season opening to present the latest fabric and additional innovations to the textile and fashion industry. For the first time,more than 1,000 international suppliers from 37 countries will present a selected portfolio of more than 1,600 collections. The latest developments and innovations for fabrics and additionals, finishings and technologies of established suppliers, weavers, printers and textile service providers will be showcased. The denim and sportswear community will find the most recent innovations from international denim suppliers, weavers and finishers in the unique ambiance of the extended BLUEZONE—in the adjacent Zenith Hall and the newly developed CATALYZER.

MUNICH FABRIC START offers a comprehensive range of textiles, additionals and services for the fashion and apparel industry. The exhibition areas consist of FABRICS (Basic to Haute Couture fabrics), ADDITIONALS (additionals and accessoires), BLUEZONE (denim, street- and sportswear), KEYHOUSE (future, innovation & technology), DESIGN STUDIOS (individual pattern, prints and dessins), ASIA SALON (suppliers form the Asian region) alongside with a forum for sustainable textile production and certification bodies. These areas cover all important segments of the textile industry. The portfolio is rounded off by an information pool consisting of trend and sample areas highlighting the innovations of the season. The colour forum showcases the directional colours for the season. In addition, there are expert trend lectures as well as top class panel discussions on currently market relevant topics.
