Messe München is observing the current developments in connection with COVID-19 (coronavirus SARS-CoV-2) very closely. It is our top priority to deal responsibly with this situation. Its dynamic development makes it necessary to reassess the situation on a daily basis. Current information about COVID-19 and the effects on the events at Messe München are available at our site security.
Messe München offers the right location for any type and format of event. We give you the opportunity to create your own world and realize your visions.
The current pandemic situation makes it impossible to reliably plan for upcoming international in-person trade fairs in the first semester: therefore, having consulted closely with its customers and partners, Messe München is canceling f.re.e 2021 and INHORGENTA MUNICH 2021. LASER World of PHOTONICS 2021 will be postponed to 2022.
It was not an easy decision for everyone involved: f.re.e 2021, planned for April 21–25, cannot take place despite booked halls, loyal exhibitors and partners, and interested visitors. Due to the Corona pandemic, the necessary planning security for all parties involved is lacking for this date. This decision was made by Messe München in close consultation with the exhibitors and partners of Bavaria's largest travel and leisure fair.
The previous year posed major challenges for the international trade fair industry. Owing to the coronavirus pandemic, the majority of trade fairs had to be canceled, resulting in huge losses of revenue. Messe München, too, had to cancel more than 20 events, including four world-leading trade fairs. Nevertheless, Messe München is confident for the future. Innovative digital formats and products will expand the existing portfolio.
